The Dandelion Philosophy’s Strategic Advisory Board provides objective guidance, analysis of our competitors, market trends, and forces that may impact our work. They are responsible for helping identify new strategic opportunities to help grow and expand our work so that we constantly evolve and are ready for the next phase of our development.
Our Strategic Advisory Board Members are here to observe our work and help us identify blocks to becoming what we can be and to help challenge assumptions, blind spots, and judgments. They are key in promoting our work and contributing to gaining support for our work and our leadership team.
The Dandelion Philosophy has 5 current serving Strategic Advisory Board members each bringing a wealth of experience and passion to guide our work. The remaining 11 seats on the board are intended for specific funders and organisations who are invited to follow the journey with us while also providing input into our Growth and Healing Strategy for 2023.
Professor Peter Flew
Peter is the Dean of the School of Education at the University of Roehampton,
London. He supports the delivery of the University’s ongoing strategy, particularly focusing on the academic portfolio of the University in the context of the current and future higher education landscape. He is also responsible for the setting and implementation of the strategic vision across the School of Educatioln at the University of Roehampton.
Dr Yasmin Jessie Turton
Yasmin is an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education sector and is skilled in nonprofit organizations. She is a strong community and social services professional with a Doctor of Philosophy in social services.
Leadership
Malcolm Mooi
Malcolm uses technology and community to build solutions to solve societal challenges. He is the founder and CEO at the Dr. CL Smith Foundation, which works in partnership with government, the private sector, social partners, and NGOs to provide schools with information and communication technology resources and relevant teacher training to ensure the sustainability of e-education initiatives to improve the quality of teaching and learning outcomes in schools.

Senamile Masango
Senamile is a celebrated nuclear scientist, world energy leader, social entrepreneur, humanitarian, and executive chairman and founder at Mphathisithele consulting PTY - an energy consulting firm. She is also the founder of Senamile Masango Foundation, which is an internationally recognised organisation that aims to create the “Africa we want” and offer “African solutions to African problems”. It also focuses on empowering women in the engineering and science field. She is also a UN SDG advocate and is the first African woman to form part of an African-led team conducting experiments at CERN - the European organisation for nuclear research. Among her many accolades, Senamile was recognised as one of the 50 Global Inspirational Women of 2020 and Being a Women in tech global awards finalist 2021.
Kathleen Fariss
Kathleen’s core values are courage, connection, and clarity. She is a business strategist and coach, and aims to empower leaders and dreamers to achieve their goals and thrive. She is the co-founder and CEO of Fariss Coaching & Consulting, which was founded to address a lack of solid consulting and coaching support in small and mid-sized public and private businesses and organisations. She believes in helping leaders find their unique voice, speak their truths, and have access to relevant resources in order to flourish in even the most uncertain of times.
